Mary Cochran wife of Andrew Hanna---MD<PA<OH
Looking for info regarding Mary Cochran b. circa 1765 said to be dau. of William Cochran. This was stated in a county history published in KS in the late 1800's.Mary Cochran mar. Andrew Hanna b. circa 1765 & poss. of Harford Co.,MD Baltimore,MD or Delaware.Their dau. Margaret Jane Hanna was born circa 1799 in PA or OH & was married in Guernsey Co.,OH & she & her husband moved on to Franklin Co.,OH Before settling in western Illinois where they both died in their early 40's.Andrew Hanna was listed in the 1830 Guernsey Co., OH Census.
One of Margaret's son's was named William, another Andrew and another Alexander which makes me think that she is a grandaughter of William Cochran.Margaret Jane's husband's family did not use the names William, Alexander nor Andrew in many generations of his family history.
There appears to be an Alexander Cochran in Guernsey at the same time as my ancestors.Surely there is a connection between Mary Cochran Hanna born 1765, daughter of William Cochran and Alexander Cochran, said to be the son of William Cochran. This seems especially likely since Margaret Jane Hanna, Mary Cochran's daughter names one of Margaret's sons, Alexander.
Any help most appreciated.
