I don't know why I didn't recieve notification via email about your reply/post....I found it while searching for info on Martha Mirandy Cochran Parker...And I am so glad I did find it...Yes, : ) Nancy HUNT COCHRAN had a sister named Susan HUNT b. ca1857 "Greene Co. MS" (I assume) who married my GG'Grandfather Jesse WOODARD. Their son, Ira WOODARD married Mary Olga CHRISTIAN, whose daughter, Fannie Louise married Clyde Edward PARKER, grandson of Martha Miranda COCHRAN and Edward "Ed" Sermon PARKER. Fannie and Clyde are my grandparents.
Online info is that Martha Miranda was born in Old Augusta, MS Perry Co. ca1861; and family later moved to Mobile Co. AL. But conflicting online info is that she was born in Pritchard, AL. I have family info that she and Ed lived on or close to Dauphne Island Parkway...and descendants are still there.
I would love to be able to tell more about them and there descendants, I just have limited family info...I do know that Pierce Level near Wilmer played a big part in the family, both my grandparents were born there...perhaps this is where Jesse WOODARD lived, and ran the grist mill?
Your info is most appreciated!! I know very little (really name only) of Jesse WOODARD, this gives me a little insight on him, occupation, place of residence, etc. The only place I have found him in censuses was as a child in Greene Co. MS.
Any further info you might have on this COCHRAN family or others would be most appreciated. I do not have death dates or burial info for most of these, except Nancy HUNT & Martin James COCHRAN, Mary WOODARD, and my grandparents. I do know that Susan HUNT WOODARD married William James FOSTER ca1890 Mobile Co. AL, have date if you are interested. My grandmother told me that Susan married or was connected to a TADE somehow...
