Coleen, I was at this little cemetery on Tuesday evening. Some of the stones are laying on the ground, but most are still standing. My father, now 82, lived on this property when he was a child, and often read the stones, marveling that some of the people were born in the 1700's.His farm, where I grew up, is a couple of miles away.I am part of a gen. society committee on restoring and protecting endangered cemeteries in Boone County, and it's one on my list to look over, see what condition it's in, etc.Eventually we hope to restore and take some steps to protect cemeteries like this one. It's next to a private drive, grown up with trees, but surprisingly well preserved, anyway. Most of the stones are still readable.I will be going back in the next few weeks to write down all the names and dates; would you like me to e-mail them to you?William's stone does say that he was a Revolutionary War veteran, but I don't see a DAR marker there.Let me know if you'd like the info.Louise Douglas Hudspeth
