Zettie May Cochran
Zettie May Cochran, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Granvill Cochran, died at the home of her parents in Decatur City, Sunday morning, December 10, 1899. She was born April 12, 1878, aged 21 years, 7 months and 28 days. This is the second time the death angel has visited this home. A son, the first born, was taken from the bosom of the father and mother when two years of age and a happy greeting has taken place on the other shore.
Zettie leaves a father, mother, two sisters, one brother and a host of friends to mourn their loss but her gain. She was loved by all who knew her and her kindness and goodness was in the community in which she lived.
Her funeral took place in the M.E. Church Monday morning at 10:30. A sympathizing congregation was present at her last service. Surely a star of this community has been carried by angels' wings to the Heavenly world above. Interment took place at the Palestine Cemetery.
