William A. Cochran (aged 57, b. Ireland), wife (I copied "Matilda" but "Martha" could certainly be
correct) (aged 42, B. Tenn.) Ch. aged 1 - 18, all b. Ala.Living in Marshall Co., Ala., 1850
(Census p. 219, 23rd Subdivision, household 165)
Thos. J. Cochran was not living at home in 1850; he ws in Bluff Beat, Dist. 41, p. 235/469, HH
#1, in the home of Arthur Beard, apparently a boarder.He was aged 22, a merchant, b. Ala.
Also in this household was Peter (?D.) Cochran, aged 20, school teacher, b. Ala.
Thos. J. Cochran m. Nancy Ann Manning in Marshall Co., Nov. 29, 1860,.
They must have named their daughter Isabella for her aunt - sister of Thomas J. Cochran, for
another child listed in William's household in 1850 was Isabella, aged 8.She (or another of the
same name)m. Jas. LLedbetter in Marshall Co., Apr. 26, 1866.
