Hello Ruth,
I am happy to know that we share COCHRAN surnames and probably PATTEN too. However, I have good news and bad news.....
The good news is that I do have your line in my files.
The bad news is that until you wrote, I had not noticed that there is a bad error in my files.I have:
Descendants of Robert Cochran
1 Robert COCHRAN b: Abt. 1699 d: April 1750 in Londonderry, Rockingham, NH
.. +Christian COCHRAN b: 1701 in Ireland d: April 14, 1734 in Londonderry, Rockingham, NH Father: John Ro Cochran Mother: Jean Cochran m: February 09, 1723/24
.. 2 Jane COCHRAN b: November 26, 1728 in Londonderry, Rockingham, NH
....... +John PATTEN b: Abt. 1724
.. 2 Robert COCHRAN b: July 24, 1730 in Derry, NH d: 1796
.. 2 John COCHRAN b: Abt. 1731
Now, what is bad about this....I also show that Christian's husband Robert was her brother! Now I feel certain this is incorrect, but I cannot tell you how I managed to make this error.I will give you notes I have and we'll see if we can staigthen out my mess!

So, now, how do we correct this error?I do believe that the Christian Cochrane is the daughter of John "Ro" and Jean Cochran.I do not believe I have her husband, Robert, in the right lineage. Many first cousins married in this family, but I know that brothers and sisters did not and this is an obvious error on my part.
The daughters of John "Ro" Cochran in the probate record may be listed in order of age. Some of my entries for ages are just estimates because I had no good records for their birth. My own ancestor in this group is Margaret Cochran who married Nathaniel AIKEN.Her birth of c1710 is an estimate using the marriage record (December 01, 1726 Londonderry, NH).It could well be earlier, probably as early as 1706, but I don't have good records for this.
Let me know your thoughts,
Janice
