Hi Alice

Most of the Cobleys that came from Wales are connected. I belong to a Yahoo groups list of folks searching for Cobleys and they are all over the world. I have found distant cousins in Wales and Australia so it could be that I have some from IN also. I have never been able to prove it but I believe that my g.grandfather Thomas Cobley probably came over with or followed his Uncle or brother John Cobley to the US. His Uncle was just a few years older than he and his brother John was quite a few years younger.
There are quite a few Cobleys from PA that may connect with your friends line also. Does your friend do genealogy research? If so then she should think about joining our Yahoo list. Everyone on the list is very helpful and friendly. Hope to hear from you again.
Joyce
