David and Martha were in Jasper Co, MO in 1850...he was listed as born in VA...and there were 2 children....Martha F. (laster listed as Patsy F.) and Hiram T. Children and wife born MO. David was listed as a blacksmith.
I believe that since he gave VA as his state of birth that this is more likely to be true.
