Hi Cheryl,
David Samuel Cobble and his wife, Mary Ann McIntyre(McIntire) are also my great-great grandparents. Their daughter Eva D.Cobble born, November 13, 1839, married John Simpson Thompson on August 04, 1857 near Kansas, Edgar County, Illinois. She died on February 04, 1916 in Cleveland County, Oklahoma. I have a question concerning the actual date of when Mary Ann was born. Listed on her tombstone found in the Winkleblack Cemetery in Coles County, Illinos is the following: Mary Ann Cobble Born: August 29, 1810-Died: December 10, 1902-Aged: 92 years, 4 months, 17 days. Listed on her Death Certificate is the following: Female, White, Date of Death: December 15, 1902-Age: 93 years, 4 months, 18 days, She is listed as a widow, born in Kentucky, has lived in Illinois for 50 years, occupation: Farmers wife-Place of Death: Ashmore, Coles County, Illinois. Buried on December 17, 1902 in Winkleblack Cemetery. The 1900 Illinois Federal Census, Coles, County, list her as being 83 years old and born August 1816. When I am documenting records for this family I usually list all of the above but would like to actually know just when she was born. Hopefully you can help me with this. Thanks! Inez
