Doing this research was interesting as it produced just one more example of multiple un-related Cobb families living in the same small area at the same time.
According to his Draft Registration Card for World War One, Alva Devoe Cobb was born Aug 10, 1882, in Madison Co, AL. In 1917, he listed his nearest relative as his wife Martha L. (Lulu) Cobb.
His Draft Registration Card for World War Two provides the same data, with the single exception being that he listed his son Clyde Cobb as his nearest relative. (His wife died in 1934.)
Alva is found on successive census reports for Craighead County, Arkansas in 1910, 1920, and 1930. On all three enumerations he was living in Buffalo Township. The 1910 report shows he had been married about one year. Craighead Marriage Book 4, Page 555 confirms that he married Lulu Burrow on Sep 29, 1909.

(1) Emmitt was born Dec 28, 1912; and died Feb 1983 in Craighead Co. He married Tinnie Griffith on Dec 19, 1936
(2) Clyde was born Dec 15 1915; and died Mar 1987 in Craighead Co. He married Flossie McFarlin on Sep 8, 1934.
