Sarah Fernald was married to Ebenezer Cobb (1791-1824)on Sept. 10, 1815 per Office of the City Clerk, City of South Portland. No record of her birth or death, and no other info is listed on the marriage notice to further assist.
The Cobb genealogy states she remarried to a "John Henry Burke, of Portland in 1830, and [she] died Oct. 3, 1835, age 37." However, there is no evidence as to the accuracy of the dates in this book.
This would put her birth abt. 1793.
Her son Benjamin's death certificate states she was 'of Cape Elizabeth, ME'.
Does anyone know anything of this Sarah Fernald? Is Sarah Fernald/Firnald, Ebenezer Cobb, or Benjamin B. Cobb in your family files?
