Lost research of southern NJ Cobbs
I have compiled an extensive genealogy of the COBB families of Southern New Jersey, specifically those who lived in Gloucester, Cumberland,
Cape May, and Salem Counties.During the course of my research, I found that the Bridgeton Evening News edition of 12 July 1907
contained an article about the Cobb Family Association. It announced the annual reunion meeting at Union Lake Park in Millville and
mentioned new rules for membership. This association was derived from the Paul and Priscilla Cobb Association, which was
organized on 23 May 1900 at the residence of George Alfred and Lydia (WHARTON) COBB in Philadelphia.
Based on research at that time, the article sketched several Cobb families who lived in the late 1700s and early 1800s.While I have confirmed
much of the information, some of it is incorrect, and the source of the rest has not been found.I am looking for this research material,
which may have been in the hands of George A. COBB's daughter, Lydia (COBB) WAGENSELLER of Ditchley, VA.
