Daniel COBAUGH: President of the Canton Spring Co. --- was born in Stark Co, OH, to Dietrich and Sarah (SHANAFELT) COBAUGH, both natives of Maryland, in which state they were reared and married. They removed to Stark Co about 1834. By trade he was a miller. The father was called from life while just in the zenith of his usefulness. --- In 1856, our subject's marriage with Louise BALL, daughter of Col. E. BALL, one of Canton's pioneer manufacturers and one to whom the city of Canton is greatly indebted, was celebrated.Mr. and Mrs. COBAUGH are the parents of the following children: John, Mary A., Nellie D. (deceased), Anna, Kate, Lulu (deceased) and Dietrich.
