Samuel Thomas Coats b. 1849 MS to TX

Anyone know the parents of Samuel Thomas Coats b. about 1849 in MS? Found him with a wife in 1870 census of Sunflower Co MS. He married Emma Ophelia Roebush Oct. 29, 1868 in Tallahatchie Co MS. In the 1880 census he and family are in Mitchells Mills, Attala Co MS. By 1900 he is in SE Texas. In one census it is stated that his father was born in LA and mother MS. In another census, his father is listed as born in AL and mother in MS.

I have six children for him so far.

Mary
Susan

I believe he died after 1920 in TX and she died after 1930 in TX.
