Katherine As I'm sure you know, there are fairly strict rules regarding the use of Scottish Arms in Scotland. If one of your Stewart relatives can prove descent from Robert Stewart it might be worth contacting the Lyon Court to get their Arms matriculated. With regard to the Richmond family of Hendenham, Norfolk, I have put a copy of their entries in the Herald's Visitations of the 16th & 17th centuries online at; http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a103/plowmans/RICHMONDofHendenhamNorfolk.jpg?t=1184012497 If you can trace your ancestors back to them then you can lawfully use the Arms - though strictly speaking there should be some differences if the descent is not from the eldest son of the eldest son etc. Hope that this is of some interest/use. Yours aye Stephen www.heraldry-online.org.uk Notify Administrator about this message?
