If the birds have got feet then they are not Martlets. Martlets don't have feet but at least we have some idea that they are swallow like or martin like rather than crows or hawks etc.

Forgetting the birds for a moment the description of the birds against the field of the shield suggests that the shied colour is divided between two colours and that the birds are what we would call "counter-changed". How are the two colours on the shield divided? Shields with two colours can be divided in many ways and the more info we have the easier it would be to identify it.

One of the problems with this particular forum is that it does not allow you to post an image - posting an image would be most useful and if you don't have access to a website of your own you could upload an image to http://www.imagethrust.com without having to open an account and then post the URL.
