Thank you, Stephanie, for responding to my query. I didn't realize that there were more than one Kinsey Coats, but should have expected it. There is much information about a Kinsey Coats that married Jeany Turner in Franklin Co., VA, 13 Apr 1789. He was the 1787 tax roll for the same county. I have several different items of the same nature concerning this Kinsey and because he always seemed to live near Alexander Allen Coats, I thought that they possibly could have been father and son, or at least related. The Kinsey that you speak of could very well be another close relative, as this Kinsey also resided at one time in what is now Adair Co.
