A Solomon Coats, born ca1801 N.C., wife, Delilah b. ca. 1812 and children Martha, Needham, Mary A. Martin V., Mary Jane, SanuelH. & Tempa V. all born in Tenn. listed on 1850 Rusk County, Texas census in the same area where my g.g.grandfather, Alexander Coats was living. Did not find Solomon listed in the 1860 census for Rusk County or Nacogdoches County, Texas. May have overlooked him. Two years difference in age. Could be brothers or cousins.
