JANE SMILEY COATS dau of NATHANIEL COATS and MARTHA LAMAR

Jane Smiley Coats was my 4th g-grandmother. She married Howell Jarrett
and they had Martha Jane Jarrett who married David Henderson McCleskey.
Martha Jane and David Henderson had ten children. The youngest, Nathaniel Turn
McCleskey, is my 2nd g-grandfather. JANE SMILEY COATS was the daughter of Nathaniel Coats
and Martha Lamar. We have some information on Nathaniel descending
from a Henry Coats. Does any one know who Martha Lamar's parents
were? Was she related to Mirabeau B. Lamar? The families were known
to have been in Wilkes County, GA.
