I think William bn 1818 had a son William 1841 who married Fany Garland in 1863 their son John bn 1866 is my great grandfather who married Elizabeth Clarke 1987.
I have a John Coates bn1764 - father Robert who was noted in Thirsk parish registers separately as a Papist and various other bits I am not sure if /where they fit in !
If the above is of use to anyone great ! If I have make mistakes please let me know. There is a story in our family that one branch went to Canada but at the moment it is only a story - if anyone can cast any light on it I would be delighted to hear from you.
