WINCHESTER - T. Helen Coates, 95, of rural Winchester died Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2006, at Modern Care Convalescent Center in Jacksonville.
She was born Aug. 3, 1911, in Murrayville, the daughter of Carl and Ruth Wagstaff Bacon. She married Glenn M. Coates in 1930 in Pittsfield; he died in 1994.
Mrs. Coates was a homemaker. She was a longtime member of Lynnville Methodist Church and member and past president of Lynnville Women's Ladies Aide.
Survivors: daughter, Mary Ann Kemp of New Berlin; son, Robert (wife, Ann) Coates of Jacksonville; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.
Services: 11 a.m. Saturday, Williamson Funeral Home, Jacksonville. Burial: Diamond Grove Cemetery, Jacksonville.
