Do you have ancestors for James Coates? I have a Francis Coates that came to Quebec in 1830, supposedly with a brother or some relative with whom he lost track. He immigrated to Ohio, Wisconsin and then Kansas. I am wondering if your James might be his nephew or cousin. Francis is from Deighton, Yorkshire, England.
