Hi my name is Colin Coates. I live in Ont Canada.
I recently discovered that my Great great great grandfather was William John Coates born in Devon Port, his wife was Louisa Lucas.
My great great grandfather was William John Coates born 1848 at 9 Montague St LandPort. He married Sarah Lobey and lived at 5 Adelaide St. ( the beer house) Port Sea Island England.
My Great grandfather was Edwin John Coates born 1881 who imigrated to Canada.
My grandfather is Frederick Harold Coates, and my father was Aaron Cephis Edward Coates.
Does anyone have more info on this line of the family?
And are their living relatives from this line still in England?
Any help would be great!
