Hello... I have been working on my family genealogy for about 2 months. I have made good progress using these message boards, and am very thankful to those who respond.
I am looking for information about Elvira Winn Chase, born about 1825 in Meigs County, OH. She was the daughter of Jacob Armstrong Winn and Julia Nobles. She married William Chase in 1849 in Meigs County. Elvira was a school teacher in a one-room school house.
I also want to know about William Chase, born September 3, 1824 in Meigs County, OH. He was the son of John Merrill Chase, Jr., and Alice Young.
I want to know what census records they are on and where they died and were buried. I am interested in any documents assosciated with them, their ancestors, or heirs.
If you have references to these people in your database or records, I would appreciate copies. I have pictures of them and their daughter, Lillian Chase Morris.
My wild guesses, if not Meigs Co. are Lincoln/Kanawha/Putnam County, VA/WV or in Eastern CO or KS. Some of their cousins and children moved to Yuma County, CO.
