William and Naomi Carnes in Thurman, Washington County
I am looking for marriage and death info on the above couple.
William was born in 1857 in Ohio.He moved with his family shortly after that and settled in Calhoun County, Illinois where he is with his parents in the 1860 and 1870 census.
In the 1880 census he is living in Richland, Wapello, Iowa with the Joseph Dixon family as a hired hand.
In the 1900 census, he is still living in Wapello County but in the Columbia Township. At this point he is married (for 17 years) to Naomi (last name unknown at this time). They also have three children: Fannie (looks like Fannie on the 1900 census) age 16, David R. age 12, and Anna age 6.
In the 1910 census, they are living in Thurman, Washington County.
William is 51, Naomi, age 51, David, age 22, Edna (David's wife) age 20, and Anna age 16 (daughter).
In 1920 William and Naomi are still living in Thurman.
David and Enda and three children, Ralph,8,Ester, 5, and Floyd,3 are back living in Richland, Wapello County, Iowa.
No trace of David, Edna and family in 1930 but William and Naomi are still living in Thurman...
I am looking for a death obit or a cemetery reading on William and Naomi... I have NO clue when they died.In the 1930 census, William is 73 and Naomi is 71.
If anyone could point me to a link for cemetery listings or for any obits please let me know.William was a brother to my 2ng great grandmother. Also looking for any information on Anna.I assume she married and possibly stayed living in the Washington area.As far as Fannie it is a toss up... Could have married in Iowa or Colorado.
Thanks in advance for ANY help or guidance!
Juls
