Kathy, Goldfield didn't have a high school. Everyone went to Victor High. Family information is relatively hard to come by re: Goldfield and Victor. A book of Victor High School alumni has been published recently... it is not complete but, may have some info for you.
My best info has come from the census... and I also found some material in the court house in Cripple Creek. The main Library in Colorado Springs has a good section on Goldfield and Victor. Contact me by e-mail and I'll give you a name or two that might have known the family.
