I wish I had other names. I have tried, with difficulty, to
track this man. I believe John Holmes was a Rev. war soldier on the British side. I believe his first wife died and they had a son, Joseph. I believe he became a trapper and married an American Native lady and settled in Wadsworth near Holmes stream and,finally settled in Norton.
