I believe Warren Lyndon Cole (sometimes shown as Lyndon Warren on censuses) had a brother Willis H Cole who was quite prominent in the San Luis Valley, especially Cotton Creek.
Willis and Lyn may have had different mothers. Their father is Edwin H Cole and I believe that Lyn's mother was Mariah L. All of these folks were born in New York and lived in and around Sandy Creek, Oswego County in the 1850s thru 1870s at least. I don't know how they got from there to Colorado.
Mostly interested in Warren Lyndon but I can tell you that Willis had two wives -- Sarah Cole who is buried at the Rito Alto Cemetery near Moffat, Colorado, no children. Second wife Belle who had three children with last name Montgomery.
Any information is greatly appreciated. Especially interested in more about Edwin H and/or Mariah L Cole and if Willis did indeed have a different mother than did Lyn.
