my mom searched for her birth family for many years.. she found out when she was 12 yrs old she was adopted. after her adopted mom passed away in 1980 mom tried to find her birth family, without any success. she was always very curious about her birth family and wondered if she had in blood related sibblings.
she was adopted at age two and a half. her birth cert says the doctor knew of her birth. that she was born in meeker colorado. Mom got ahold of the only doctor in the county where meeker is. He told her that he never delivered a child male or female around the time of her birth.
my uncle told me today mom june belle lane her adopted name. that she was born around steamboat springs. up in the mountains. her birth date is 5/jun/1924..
mom had dark brown almost black wavy hair. big bones and was 5 ft 9 in tall.very long legs. she had high cheek bones and looked part indian. her coloring was medium skin color.she tanned easily. she had to wear glasses she had very bad eyes, she bad stigmatis. her teeth where straight, she has very full lips. she had a huge mole on her forehead just above her nose & eyes.
in a picture of mom at 2 and half mom had very light colored hair. which she was told it was almost white it was so light. It all fell out when she got pneumonia at age six and came in almost black.
mom remembered a car wreck where the car she was in drove off a mountain mom and a boy feel out of the car.
does anyone remember a little girl born in 1924???
also the only things my aunts would tell mom was she was one of nine children her mother could no longer feed her kids so she got rid of the younger ones at dofferent orphangoes in colorado.
