Thanks for the info, it is (much) appreciated. According to my mothers birth certificate 3/20/1920, her father JJ was 48 years old and her mother Olphia was 25. Mother was from TX, maiden name McClain or Maclane( I don't remember for sure).

Goldena said she was actually named after her fathers gold mine and the name on the certificate is "Golden Sundowner Hallar".

Is there any record of Jesse J Hallar's parents in MO?

Any record of what kind of a miner he was? Supposedly in 1920 he owned a mansion in Denver and was wealthy and died about 3 years after his daughter was born and the fortune was lost somehow?

Any record of his death and where he lived and died?
