Not my family.....just a lookup for you.

Found birth records for Elmer, Violet & Virgil in Bell Co, KY.....mother listed as both Kissie & Kizzie Hatfield.

Based on the census records I found for her & John D. she was born abt 1895/1896.

This is probably her death record. On the 1900 census it states bn DEC 1895:

Social Security Death Index
Name: Kizzie Jones
SSN: 526-28-8346
Last Residence: 86301 Prescott, Yavapai, Arizona, United States of America
Born: 11 Dec 1895
Died: Feb 1985
State (Year) SSN issued: Arizona (Before 1951)

She was indexed as Kissie on the 1910 KY, Bell Co census; living with her mother Matilda Hatfield, other siblings and her grandfather Wesley Bellew (Bllew). Kissie/Kizzie may have been a nickname....on the 1900 KY, Bell Co census she is listed as Katie with same mother & siblings.

Based on the census data she is the daughter of:
Lafayette Hatfield & Matilda Bellew/Belew.

It took awhile to figure this family group out.
Lafayette Hatfield & wife Matilda are listed on the 1900 KY, Bell Co census.

Matilda Hatfield is listed as widowed on the 1910 KY, Bell Co, census and living with her widowed father, Wesley Bllew.

Tilda Hatfield (same kids)the 1920 KY, Bell Co census she is listed as D (divorced). John D. Jones & Kizzie are living next door.

Seems Lafayette (Fate) Hatfield stayed in KY, Bell Co and remarried a Sidney....they are on the 1910 KY, Bell Co census and both married 2nd time, 4yrs.

The sister Kizzie J. Jones (married) is living with on the 1930 OH, Erie Co, Sandusky census looks like Minnie A. or Mossie A. Stout. Her birth year matches the sister listed on the 1900 KY, Bell Co....Betty Hatfield bn apr 1893. More research will be needed to connect the two women.

On the first link you will find exact death dates for the Hatfield brothers.

Wesley Bellew/Belew served in the Civil War and is listed on the Civil War Pension index and also on the 1890 Veterns of KY, Bell County. He served in the Tenn 1st company G Calv & Tenn 4th company G INF....from the Civil War records appears the two companies combined. In as a CORP, out as a SGT.

If you would like to read about the happenings of this Civil War group....

go to: http://www.civilwar.nps.gov/cwss/soldiers.cfm
Imput....Belew Wesley...union....tenn
When it comes up....click on the Regiment name for more details. Interesting reading.

If you need me to send over the details on these census records.....just let me know.

You will need to order birth/death/marriage records to document if this is your family group. The Wesley Bellew/Belew family was in KY, Bell Co on the 1880 census. Hope something here works out to be of help.

Marsha
