Can anybody help with any information regarding Charles Carlson -
born Nov. 22, 1851 in Kalmar county Sweden. His name is Sweden was Carl Johan Leonard Carlsson. He was married in Sweden to a Ida and had 2 daughters Edla and Tekla. Around 1880 he left his family and moved to the US. There are letters that are dated 1885-1899 and then he had lived in different places in Colorado, Cripple Creek, Fairplay Park, Buffalo Springs. In one letter he said he had bought land in or nearby Cripple Creek. In 1900 he visited his family in Sweden but disappeared again a short while later. In 1905 his lawyer in Cripple Creek wrote to his wife in Sweden and said he hadn't heard from Charles in a couple years but there was a rumor that Charles took his life in Washington state.
