Hi nice to hear from you. I'd love to help - that's the fun of Genforum for volunteers! Here's the problem. You have a query posted about this grandfather in other forums with replies there - yet you do not reference those threads in your note to me, asking my help with him. So I could easily have run around working on a project and coming up with info you already have, from your own research or from the research of the other volunteers. This is a pattern for many many people in Genforum - it's just hard to organize all in one place, the way the forum is set up, so believe me, I understand how this can happen. I suggest that when you post a query in more than one forum, let the readers know that you have posted the same question in other forums too. Then ask that replies be made all in one place, in one thread, so that all the information is quickly available to any/all helpers. Your Noble Eddy query got the same answers from multiple researchers - I read those posts and did not anywhere see you clueing them in to the situation. Therefore I conclude you don't realize this is a bummer for the volunteer, to have one's time spent for naught. Hope I am pointing out something that is helpful, saying it constructively and respectfully, and letting you know I wish you well in your searches!
