My name is Catherine Jett, my mother is HELEN FRANCES STOKER Jett, her father was JAMES WILLIAM STOKER (b: 5/27/1892); he married ETHEL LOUISA PAGE (b: 9/8/1893); they were married 6/28/1912. They had 11 children and my mother was number 10.
I would appreciate any information on my grandfather. I know he had a brother named JOHN ERIC STOKER.
This all the information I have on my grandfather other than that he was reputed to be an award winning rodeo champion, worked on several western movies prior to his marriage to my grandmother, and is rumored to have fathered an illegitimate son who was named for him and also was a rodeo rider.
Mom told me this afternoon that Grandpa Stoker was supposed to have hooked up with a woman name INEZ? and they had a son. Named JAMES WILLIAM STOKER ?. She also said that either he or his son was reputed to be a sheriff in Sterling CO (Logan County). I will be checking into that statement.
