I have found "new" info on John Thomas Gammon (1862-1941) while on vacation in Colorado. From his death certificate, which I've obtain from the Weld County Public Health Service; Records office in Greeley Colorado, I found that he was Born Jan.15, 1862, in Buffalo, Missouri to John R. Gammon and Mary Elizabeth (Butler) Gammon.

John Thomas Gammon married Dora Lillian Shaffer in Missouri sometime between 1880 and 1887. They had two daughters, Hallie G. Gammon (Boothroyd) and Minnie Gammon (Stearley). Later John (and possibly Dora) moved to Loveland and Greeley Colorado area. On July 29, 1920 Dora L. Shaffer died and in 1923 John Thomas Gammon married 2nd Maggie Fish McPherson in Colorado. They had one son John Eugene Gammon October 05, 1926 at Loveland Co.. John E. Gammon died August 19, 1982.

From other GenForum pages and Family Tree Maker CDís, I have found there were many Gammon's who were from Tennessee area, who later moved to Missouri area, ie: Buffalo, Mo. and from there to the northeast Colorado areas. I have found no direct connection yet but I hope someone out there might see a connection and let me know.

I do have some limited info on Hallie G. Gammon Boothroyd if anyone is interested.

Thanks in advanced
Sam
