Yes, Joseph Benjamin Smith died in Wellington, Larmier, CO
on October 27, 1952. His father was Jackson Smith b 1847 and mother Nancy Thompson b 1842, and so far as I know both were born and died in NC. I am intersted in lerning about Joseph B. Smith's maternal grandmother, Nancy Reed, who was the mother of Nancy Thompson b 1842. Of course none of these people are living now, but my hope is that someone may have an old family Bible or genelogical information with regard to the Reed family of Buncombe County, NC. I have found in doing research in the past that many times the families who moved West seem to know more about their roots than do the ones who remained in the East. Thank you for your reply.
