Wallbrecht/South Platte Hotel Posted by: Gretchen Soards Date: April 14, 2000 at 17:55:13   of 144 My gg uncle Charles Wallbrecht and his wife Mata were proprietors of the South Platte Hotel which I believe was in Jefferson County, CO in the early 1900s. As I understand they were held up by escapess from the Canon City Territorial Prison and severely injured. I am attempting to find information about this occurrence and perhaps the dates of the Wallbrecht's deaths. Can anyone help me? Followups: Re: Chas.
