First Settlers of Denver?!

I am researching the biography of one General William Brindle, who, according to a curator in Kansas, was in the group of 58ers who founded the mining camp that became Denver, Colorado. I have found some documentation that Edward W. "Ned" Wynkoop was one of that party. However, I've found nothing on his brother-in-law, William Brindle. Any help documenting this claim would be greatly appreciated.
