Hi Tom,
I'm not sure, but it could now be called Denver Children's Home (I used to work there). It is on Colorado Blvd and 13th (13th Street could be wrong, but it's right in the low teens). It is in the city and county of Denver.
It used to be an orphanage, but now is a temp home for children with behavioral problems. You may want to search the history of this place and see if it is the one you're looking for.
