Davis name in 1880 census for Rosita, CO

My Davis' lived in Rosita, Custer County, Colorado in the 1880 census. His name was Pierce Davis, living with wife Maggie, and four children. There were many Davis' living there also and I'd like to find out if there are any relatives and why Pierce and family left Ohio for Colorado, to return to Ohio by December 1883 (my grandfather born then in Ohio).
