Searching for information about my uncle, Clifford Zach, who was living in Mesita, county of Costilla, in 1920. He returned from service in WWI in 1919 to his hometown of Hamburg,IA. Noticed on the county website that Mesita was originally known as Hamburg. Does anyone know about the naming of the town originally?
