Erin,

Your $15.00 is safe. I found an obituary for Mary Columbia Floyd Wiles in the Boulder Daily Camera in Oct. 1938.

Mrs. Wiles died Oct. 15, 1938, as a result of a fall that broke her right arm. She was 88, born in Burke's Garden, Tazewell Co., VA. She was buried beside her husband on the family farm in Mingo Co., WV.

She has a pretty neat lineage - granddaughter of John Floyd, governor of VA at the time of the Constitution and "father of the Oregon Country." Her father Col. George Rogers Clark Floyd was governor of the Wisconsin Territory.

You're welcome to send your $15 to the Karen Lowe Research Fund ;), but fifty cents and the cost of a stamp will get you Mrs. Wiles obituary.

- Karen
