Summary The envelope contains a portrait photograph of James Duce and his son Robert and dog, and a portrait photograph of his daughter Katherine. The folder contains two pages of photocopied newspaper articles, and a paper with notes on the education and employment of Harold, James, Katherine, and Robert, the children of James Duce.
History James Duce operated a coal business and newspaper until 1913 when the governor appointed him State Oil Inspector. From 1933 to 1939 he was State Excise Tax Commissioner. Son Robert moved to Denver where he worked with the U.S. Geological Survey. Daughter Katherine married and moved to California.
