Pamela,
You might try requesting a birth certificate from the State of Colorado. Also, Boulder County might have a record of his birth.
You seem to know his parents names. And from other volunteers you have his 1910/1920 census records (giving you his siblings). You know when and where he died.
I am not sure if the birth information is worth the $$ or could give you added information.
