Clydesdale - a rare Scottish surname

I thought Clydesdales might be interested to know that there were about 125 Clydesdales in Scotland as of the 1851 census, about 80% in Lanarkshire. In 1850, there were only 7 Clydesdales in the US.

It seems likely that a high percentage of us are related.

My Clydesdales appear to be from Old Monkland in Lanarkshire and immigrated in 1874.
