Macon, Thanks for answering and sending the new information! Especially the history of your grandmother's time with her brother in NY. I would be interested in the grandchildren of HV if you don't mind. I do usually retain the children of a (Clyburn) daughter but not usually the generations after that.

One question . . . I never had the date of the article on Richards anniversary and search for kin. Could never even guess at his marriage year/date. Do you at least have the date of the article?

I wish I could tell you more about D Jessie and James.

As for the Douglas/Long situation. I am going to replace the Douglas since you seem to have a truer record than a census guess. I had heard it before. For what we know, Long could have been a second marriage for the Elizabeth in the hh . . or the relationship is totally different.

I hope to stay in touch and if I find more will surely let you know.
