CLUTTER, VAN CLEVE
I am searching for information concerning the family of my ggg-grandmother, ANN CLUTTER.Ann was born 7 May 1761 in New Jeresy, perhaps in or around Morris County. She was the second wife of WILLIAM VAN CLEVE.
They were married in approximately 1790 either in New Jersey or Bedford County, PA.They had the folowing children, all of whom were born in Belfast Township, Bedford County, PA: Elizabeth Van Cleve, born 31 Dec 1791; Benjamin Van Cleve, born 5 Nov 1793; Anne Van Cleve, born 30 Jan 1798; and Obediah Van Cleve (my gg-grandfather), born 30 Jan 1798.
William Van cleve died in 1804 at Sideling HIll, Bedford County, PA.Ann (Clutter) Van Cleve died 11 Mar 1818 in Belfast Township, Bedford County, PA.
Obediah Van Cleve relocated to what is now Greene County, PA and there he married Charity Rees on 7 May 1821. At the time of his marriage there were several CLUTTER families living in both Washington and Greene Counties, PA. He may have moved there to be closer to some of his mother's family.Charity Rees was the daughter of William and Cassadra Rees.William was the owner of Rees Mill in Greene County.
Any addtional information will be greatly appreciated.
