Hi Ann,

My mother's maiden name is Cluse, and she grew up in New Castle PA. Until recently we knew very little about her father's family. I think that my gg grandfather (George Cluse: 1843-1903) may have been Barbara Anne Cluse's sister or possibly her uncle. (its confusing, because names are continuallly reused!) I have George Cluse's obituary and it mentions that he was born in Butler County (Brady's Bend PA) and had four sisters and a brother. . . they are: Mrs. Mary Schweikert, Mrs. Mary Young, Mrs. Mary Lawrence, Philip Cluse, and Mrs. Barbara Guenther of Charleston, West Virginia.

I know that you mentioned that Barbara Ann Cluse was the daughter of a Philip Cluse, so she could be my gggrandfather's sister (I think George Cluse's father might have been a philip cluse, although I'm not sure) or she could be the child of my gggrandfather's brother.

Any info you have would be wonderful!

Thanks,
Carolyn
