Bonjour Pam,

To me, Peter Clukey and Josephine Rushlo look like French people from Quebec where their name would be Pierre Cloutier and Josephine Rocheleau.
I have a database on Cloutier (and Clukey) families but I don't find this couple in it. This leads me to think that they may have married in US and would have been among the first to cross the border.
Since you have a birth date for William B and John, where you able to find the church baptism records in Upper NY state?. These people would have been Catholic. These records give the names of sponsors, normaly from the family relatives, and might provide clues to the families.

If you have any other detail or clues, let me know and I'll try again.

Salut !

Roger
