In my research on John Clowney, I found so much about Samuel Clowney that I've saved it in hopes of learning how the two are related. I have an article that I got out of a book about the family of Elizabeth who married Samuel Clowney. Her name was Elizabeth Kennedy. Her mother and father were Mary Ann Brandon and William Kennedy. The Brandon family was Scotch-Irish coming to Union about 1754-55, originally from Pennsylvania. Email me if you are interested and I can send you the entire article. I think I got it out of a book about Union, SC families -under the Brandon family. The article lists all of Elizabeths siblings and predecessors.
